Laborer
Transseed’s is looking for a professional who will be responsible for conducting and performing underground construction services within the Transseed Outside Plant Business Group. The OSP Operator roles and responsibilities will be listed below, but not limited to the following:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Military experiences and background would also be considered as a substitute for field experience if the individual is comfortable working outside, around heavy equipment and in various weather conditions.
Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs,
Able to physically walk several meters
Skilled with heavy duty equipment.
Must have valid drivers license (CDL’s would be a bonus)
Training or experience with Excavating equipment such as Backhoe or Mini-excavator
Ability to perform Laborer duties
Able to understand blueprints and follow direction
Role & Responsibilities: The Transseed OSP Laborer will need to be able to work effectively with other peers and supervisors in successful OSP projects. Will be asked to support multiple tasks each day to ensure success on field sites. Must be able to multi-task and manage a variety of tools. He/she will be responsible for being on site on time, prepared to work in various weather elements throughout the country. Must be able and willing to travel outside the local region.
Daily Responsibility:
Support operators of construction equipment as needed.
Drive company vehicles to haul crews, tools and equipment from site to site
Assist in set up and clean up of sites, tools, vehicle and equipment.
Review entry level work permits, locates and paperwork pertaining to the work site.
Work within close quarters such as manholes, ditches, man made holes or in high vegetation areas.
Dig or spot locate utility lines for trenching or underground placement.
Carry or lift large tool bags
Log in drivers hours and maintain operations site logs
Locate local fire departments and emergency facilities to place in site logs
Become CPR and OSHA 10 certified
Continue to work toward become a Operator
